The Michael Josh Show
It's been 2 months since I switched to mac. Over this time period I have tried out a lot of new things that have already become part of my daily routine. This includes but is not limited to downloading Really Simple Syndication or RSS feeds and Podcasts. A few weeks back I had the brilliant idea (if I should say so myself) of coming up with my own podcast. Given my background in broadcasting, coupled with my knowledge of computers and inspired by a couple of podcasts that I had been listening to I decided to go for it.
The Michael Josh Show will be my audible blog, my own program on the Internet. It will serve as a venue for me and my friends to share our thoughts and insights on all sorts of things that interest us. I will also try to inject my own music and some of my friend's jokes to keep it fun and easy to listen to.
I know there are lots of podcasts out there and I really respect everyone who has taken extra the step for their voices to be heard. Although many of them have indirectly influenced me, I will try my best to let this show be as free-formed as possible and as unique as it can be.
For those who are interested here is my starter setup:
Computer: Apple Powerbook 15"
Microphone: Powerbook's built-in mic
Monitor: iPod earphones
Software: GarageBand 2 & iTunes
My pianist friend (who will also be appearing on the show from time to time) has been kind enough to compose the opening and closing theme for the show. We have already tried a run through with all this equipment and are all set for our first recording session tomorrow!
